Our Story: The Heart Behind Guardian Angel Christian Academy
Guardian Angel Christian Academy stands as a testimony of faith, perseverance, and obedience to God’s call. After the world shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pastor Travis and Mrs. Mindy Day felt a stirring in their hearts — a clear call from God to relaunch the Academy. Saying “Yes” to Jesus was the first step in what would become a journey of growth and grace.
In 2020, with just one classroom, a handful of faithful parents, and a few students who believed in the vision, Guardian Angel Christian Academy was reborn. From that humble beginning, God began to multiply the work.
Today, Guardian Angel serves nearly 100 students, in addition to a growing number of homeschool families who have joined the Guardian community. In 2025, we celebrated a major milestone — receiving official accreditation, affirming our commitment to academic excellence and Christian integrity. That same year, we launched Guardian Christian Athletics, giving our students new opportunities to develop teamwork, discipline, and school pride through sports.
None of this would have been possible without the foundation laid years ago by our beloved founders, Rev. John and Teresa Hunt, who first opened Guardian Angel Daycare with a heart to nurture children in a faith-filled environment. Their vision and dedication planted the seeds for everything Guardian Angel has become today.
What began as a dream has grown into a thriving ministry — one classroom at a time, one prayer at a time, and one family at a time.
Guardian Angel Christian Academy continues to move forward with the same faith that started it all — trusting that when God gives the vision, He also provides the growth.
